2/25/22 Safety Notification: Projectiles from Vehicles
The Georgia Southern University Office of Public Safety has been made aware of suspicious incidents in the City of Statesboro involving occupants in moving vehicles launching projectiles at individuals walking or standing along the street. Please be on the lookout for this behavior as you move through the Statesboro area.
If you are off-campus and witness an incident of this nature, immediately contact Statesboro Police Department at 912-764-9911. If you are on-campus and witness an incident of this nature, immediately contact University Police at 912-478-5234.
2/24/2022 Safety Notification (Statesboro Campus) – Shooting Incident at Freedom’s Landing
This is a safety notification from the Georgia Southern University Office of Public Safety:
Georgia Southern University Police are currently investigating a shooting incident at Freedom’s Landing. No foul play is suspected at this time. Please avoid the area.
As a reminder, counseling support and other resources are available to all Georgia Southern University students, faculty and staff. The Counseling Center may be reached at 912- 478-5541 on the Statesboro Campus.
