Maintaining your chemical inventory is an essential part of Georgia Southern University’s effort to comply with various federal and state regulations. It also provides essential information to emergency responders who are required to respond to hazardous material spills.
All chemical users are required to participate in the Chemical Inventory Program. The inventory must be reviewed and maintain once a year. Updates are to be completed at least 30 days prior to March 1st. The completed inventory should be emailed to the Occupational Safety Manager.
To create a new inventory for chemicals in your area, use the excel spreadsheet (Statesboro campus) or Chematix Software (Armstrong and Liberty campus) to maintain the chemical inventory.
